Grigor Dimitrov answers whether he still believes he can win Grand Slam After win | Nikhilodien

Former world No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov has made it clear that he
hasn't given up on his hopes of winning a Grand Slam title. Dimitrov, 31, has
been close to winning a Grand Slam several times but he has yet to make a big
Grand Slam breakthrough.
Dimitrov is a three-time Grand Slam semifinalist, having reached
the last-4 stage at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. “Yeah, of
course,” Dimitrov told Tennis Majors. “I mean, I still believe that.
I’ve had it on quite a few occasions. In the past slams, I’ve had
good results. Now, unfortunately, I just have to play very, very good players
early on in the second, or third round. But I believe that there’s a lot more
to come on my end.
I think I can push through it and who knows when what, and
where? But the only thing that I need to focus on is how I’m going to go on and
about."
Dimitrov loves the Queen's Club

Dimitrov turned pro 14 years ago and he has been a
regular participant at the Queen's Club since 2009.
The Queen's Club is a place where Dimitrov has had
success as he made it to the tournament in 2014. Also, Dimitrov reached the
Queen's semi-final in 2012 and 2017. This week, Dimitrov made a positive start
to his Queen's campaign as he beat top-ranked British tennis player Cameron
Norrie in the first round.
"It was a tournament that I have admired, since day one. I was one of the fortunate ones to get some help from that tournament early on and that wild card. And I played the juniors here as well. So there were, there were a lot of like positive things on that note," Dimitrov said of Queen's. Dimitrov is certainly hoping to do well at Queen's this week and then go to Wimbledon extremely confident.
Italian IOC chairman: "Berrettini lost only against Djokovic on the grass in 2 years"

Two injuries prevented Matteo Berrettini from
competing continuously in the first part of the season. The Italian player
started 2022 by winning a prestigious semi-final at the Australian Open and
lost only to Rafael Nadal, who would later win the tournament and take his 21st
major.
After playing the tournament in Rio de Janeiro,
Berrettini was hit by the usual abdominal problem during the first-round match
with Tommy Paul in Acapulco. A problem that forced him into the pits for almost
a month. Returning to the Indian Wells Masters 1000, he stopped before the
start of the Miami Open.
This time, it was the right hand that caused
concern and prompted Berrettini to undergo a small operation.
Giovanni Malagò praises Berrettini after Stuttgart

The Italian has skipped all season on clay in order
not to affect the times and in Stuttgart, he experienced one of the best
moments of his career.
The Italian number one raised the sixth trophy in
his career to the sky and won for the second time on the Boss Open lawns.
Italian IOC president Giovanni Malagò called Berrettini after the
success obtained in Stuttgart and, on the sidelines of the 13th-degree
award, Artemio Franchi revealed: "I spoke to Matteo Berrettini
after the final in Stuttgart, he was really good, it doesn't seem to me to
nothing trivial to go back to winning immediately after three months of injury.
Matteo has shown that, in addition to being very
strong, he is also very good with his head. In the third set when he returned
to the field he was on the spot. Objectively on the grass, he lost only one
game in the two years 2021-2022.
He won the Queen's, he lost in the final at
Wimbledon against Novak Djokovic and he came back like this in Stuttgart: it's
not trivial. Wimbledon without Russian tennis players? That is a story between
the organizing committee of Wimbledon and the ATP / WTA. There are
interpretations and interpretations of these things. I have no opinion on the
matter."
